Aero-K knows you are only as good as your workstations; therefore we have invested significant time and money into acquiring the most efficient, high-tech workstations in the industry. This includes our most recent acquisition of five palletized horizontal workstations capable of producing a part complete in one operation with minimal operator intervention. Less intervention means less wasted time and almost eliminates the possibility of scrap parts.

Our horizontal workstations are between 2 and 8 pallets with up to 160 cutting tools, 500mm pallet size, 13000rpm, and 1000 psi coolant through the spindle. They are the most powerful machines we have here at Aero-K and provide great efficiency and productivity for current and future production runs. This is only the first step in our planned acquisition of the latest in high tech machines. Here are some of the unique ways that we deliver true customer service through our computer systems:
JobBoss® Shop scheduling software is completely networked, providing "real-time" order status and plant capacity reports. It is also a one stop shop to provide everything from labor reporting to invoicing, purchase order handling and barcoding.
A fully operable CAD/CAM system allows our programming and engineering department to produce three-dimensional images of parts essential in the planning stage of production.
Aero-K's (LAN) Local Area Network is complete with 12 user terminals and our Windows NT server. This allows for sharing of information between departments and reduction of paper consumption. In our future goals section you can see how we plan to expand this LAN into a fully functioning Intranet along with many other ideas to make IT an integral part of our company.
An addition that has made Aero-K's production rates increase while reducing takt time is our recently installed quick-change tooling and tool presetting capability. Both additions have proven to be worthwhile investments by reducing the down time between setup of the cells and reduction of scrap from improper tool inserting.
The best workstations and tooling in the world would not make us successful without having sound manufacturing philosophies and production procedures in place. We recognize that along with the implementation of Kaizen philosophy of manufacturing and our ISO 9002 qualified procedures Aero-K are able to maximize the potential of any new equipment we acquire.
