Facility
Aero-K maintains a state-of-the-art, FAA certified Repair facility (#A7KR427J) in El Monte, California. We currently are made up of five buildings, 25000 sq. ft., housing our high-tech manufacturing equipment. Our facility is designed with Kaizen manufacturing philosophies in mind to utilize space and make each manufacturing cell a stand-alone workstation.
We are broken down into six major manufacturing departments including our first stage assembly area and ultrasonic cleaning station. We also have three specialized departments: Quality Assurance, Programming and Engineering, and our Planning and Management Offices.
Our manufacturing cells are designed for one-piece flow utilizing lean manufacturing practices. They are developed for various configurations of barrels, cylinders, valve bodies and manifolds. All of our cells have strategically positioned workstations that reduce the amount of time it takes to produce each part. This also allows for streamlined operations and manpower requirements.
Our ultrasonic cleaning and bore scope stations conform to strict FAA F.O.D. prevention requirements and are able to find and remove any microscopic flaws that could not have been identified by the naked eye. It is just part of our commitment to provide 100% quality of all parts produced by Aero-K.
Our Assembly area is capable of many operations including de-magnetization, inserting of bearings, plugs, threaded inserts, and bushings. It is also a clean room with an inspector on staff to identify and eliminate any discrepancies before it goes through our rigorous final inspection.
Quality Assurance is the heart of the Aero-K facility both in physical position, and in significance. Our inspectors have all the tools necessary to provide the utmost in quality assurance. Their knowledge in the use of inspection equipment and calibration equipment is why we have time and again been recognized for the quality and workmanship of our parts.
Another important part of Aero-K is our shipping and receiving area. We have an established Delivery/Pick-up trucking system, which allows us to send parts to our processing houses in a "Milk Run" type flow on a daily basis, continuing our commitment to the Kaizen philosophy of manufacturing.
Our planning and management offices are where our talented staff of planners, schedulers, marketing executives, customer relations personnel, and accountants get the job done day in and day out showing enthusiasm and desire for a better Aero-K. Upper management has shown a strong vision for the future of Aero-K and continuously searches for better practices and the latest exciting technology to make Aero-K an even stronger force in the industry. From top to bottom, Aero-K is a company on the move.
